My story...

You know that friend of yours who moves to London at 21 and decides to start a nanny recruitment agency?

YUP, YOU GUESSED IT. THAT'S ME!

Getting that business off the ground was an insane undertaking- we had no money, no support and- way back in 2001- no social media (shock horror!).

But we did it. 

When I returned to NZ 15 years later, I couldn't believe how many women I spoke to who were starting out in biz and still facing the same uphill battle to success. 

It frustrated me that there wasn't more help available specifically for women- support that not only addressed the challenges of starting a business, but doing it as a mother, a daughter, a home maker, a sister, an auntie, a friend, a community supporter to boot. 

So I started She Owns It

​I had to channel all my inner mindset strength to 'put myself out there.' But I wanted to prove in today's digital age that I- that ALL - women, with the right support, can grow a multi six figure biz, part time, from home, on a boot string budget.

I discovered that with:

> a strong purpose
> a powerful  message
> the right system and support by your side

it IS possible. And now I'm passionate about passing all my time saving, money growing biz hacks on to you so you can do the same!

She Owns It Timeline...

MAY 2016

Started a free Facebook Support Group for NZ women in business. Went on an exciting overseas trip to see family, came back after a couple of months to over 3,000 Members! The need was clear.

DECEMBER 2016

After much song and dance, launched the Members' Club to a Facebook Group of around 5,000 and an email list of approx 500. Made just over $10,000 in a week and welcomed over 100 incredible Founding Members into the Club!

JAN - OCTOBER 2017

We had an official launch party! Continued growth of our Membership, our first in person events and online trainings held. It was... scary! But fun. On a personal note- after three years of IVF & miscarriage happily fell pregnant with my second baby. 

JULY - SEPTEMBER 2018

Timmy arrives! I find myself flying to Sydney to launch a Partnership between Facebook and She Owns It live from the Facebook Sydney Studios!   

March 2019

We launch Facebook Community Boost Powered by She Owns It in Wellington. Our goal was to upskill 1000 NZ women through in person digital marketing events.

March- December 2019

We travel NZ from Dunedin to Whangarei meeting, training and support NZ women in biz. Dream result! And then... happy surprise- we're pregnant again!​

2020

Life and biz continues amidst a crazy world environment. Coronavirus, lockdowns, a new baby. What seems like renewed passion from our community to work towards their dreams and serve people- me included. 

Yes it's a juggle! But I wouldn't have it any other way. Would you?!
