She Owns It Circles are groups of Members who meet regularly to connect and mastermind with each other.
Circles happen monthly online and in person. Find and RSVP to upcoming meetings here.
Your Circle is a space to draw on the support and experience of your peers and grow both personally and professionally.
Through your circle you can build relationships that lead to friendship, collaboration and growth. Your circle is a launchpad to expanding your biz support crew.
How do I JOIN A CIRCLE?
If you haven't already, make sure you've selected your local Group on your profile. This means you will get a local email each month with details of your next upcoming Circle Meeting. Then, all you need to do is RSVP to the event to join in. Your Circle Host and team will make you feel welcome!

What happens at a circle meeting?
Each Circle forms its own Circle values and goals. This helps you build a Circle with strong foundations for success. Thereafter, what you discuss at Circle Meetings is up to you to decide. Your Circle Host will choose topics, guests and activities based on your group goals.
She Owns It provides three Circle Agendas for inspiration:
- Coffee Circle (for connection, networking and fun)
- Biz Brainstorm Circle (for biz masterminding)
- Learning Lab Circle (for learning on specific interest topics taught by members)
Meetings typically start with an 'warm up' where members share a relevant update with the group, and end with each member committing to ‘One Action’ that they’re going to take before the next meeting.
Twice a year we step out of our circles- in July for a mid winter Christmas connection party and end of November for a Christmas party. Circles in close location to each other may choose to come together for these events and Circle Hosts may co- organise.
CAN I PROMOTE MY BUSINESS AT A CIRCLE MEETING?
This is not your typical business card swapping pitch fest. We believe the best way to network is to put aside your sales spiel and actually get to know each other as friends and colleagues.
Your Circle is not a place to try and canvas for clients or show off your marketing skills. It's a place for us to support each others' growth personally and professionally- whatever stage of you business you may be at.
This builds trust between you and your other Circle members- which leads to more meaningful relationships and ultimately sales. It's not a quick win strategy but it is authentic relationship building which does lead to sales and excellent PR for your business to boot.
HOW DO I BECOME A CIRCLE HOST?
We will be opening up applications for new Circle Hosts soon. There are lots of benefits to being a Circle Host including:
- push yourself out of your comfort zone
- become a connector
- raise your profile in this and your local community
- give back and lean on your Circle team for growth
- professional development training
- earn commission (read more below)
As a Circle Host you will go through an easy but useful induction and become part of our Circle Hosts Group. Our Circle Hosts have their own Circle too! In this Circle we work on our professional development as Circle Hosts, as well as help each other thrive in business.
She Owns It offers all Circle Hosts regular professional development training on topics that will help you become a better facilitator and promoter for your Circle and business.
Finally, as a Circle Host you get the opportunity to become Brand Ambassador for She Owns It. This is great for your professional profile and you will also earn $100 for every new member you recommend.
Does it cost anything to be IN a circle?
No. Circles are open to all She Owns It Members Club Members and is a part of the membership fee you have already paid.
From time to time your Circle Host may organise an event- for example a dinner or social night which may cost a nominal amount. These events are always optional and you pay at the venue, not to the event Host.
We do ask if your Circle is held at a Cafe or venue that you support that venue by buying a drink or something small to eat.
If you due to funds you don't want to attend a Circle at a Cafe or venue we encourage you to come to our Online Circle or become a Circle Host and host a Circle from your home.
Do I have to show up every month?
You don't have to attend every month however for our Circles to become meaningful spaces we do ask that you try to.
We truly believe that a strong Circle culture nationwide will help us create an incredible environment for women in business in NZ- an in person space for every woman to lean on for support on their journey.
It will take commitment from everyone for this to work so if you want to be part of making change then please try to put the time aside and be a part of it!
WHAT WILL I GET BACK FROM BEING IN A CIRCLE?
Through Circles we want you to feel supported, connected, nurtured and empowered to grow a thriving business.
Each Circle sets it's own group goals for the year. Keeping these goals in mind together you will determine what you talk about at each upcoming Circle meeting.
From time to time to support your learning your Circle Host might invite in a speaker for a Learning Lab meeting on a topic of interest for your group.
Sometimes, you might decide to have a Coffee connection meeting rather than a learning or brainstorming meeting. Coffee meetings are more social and a chance to get to know each other on a deeper level.
You may also get the opportunity to work on your leadership skills by facilitating a Circle Meeting for your Host.
Ultimately, Circles are a space to take yourself away from your desk and business once a month and be a part of something that supports your own growth, the growth of other Members and the growth of this community.
We thank you all for being a part of it!
