CHECKPOINT 2: CHOOSE YOUR WHEELSThis stage is all about getting clear on your message, your products and pricing, what makes you different from your competitors and how to convey that well to your customers.
Lots of people skip past Checkpoint 2 in the rush to start earning income and miss out on valuable dollars along the way. It's this step that will see you plan for PROFIT and create strong brand foundations that will attract people to your business. I encourage you at this stage to think hard about your the products you offer, and the market that you're offering them to. If your product is low value, you're going to need to sell a LOT to generate money and an income for yourself. You might want to add in new, higher value products that will increase your revenue and profit. If your product is high value, you might be struggling to get people to part with their hard earned money. This is the time to consider if you can offer a lower priced product that feeds to your high value offer and gives people a chance to 'taste' your brand. Ask YourselfWho is your customer? What problem do they have? What desires are you satisfying? Where are they now- and where do they want to be? What products do you offer them to help achieve their goals? What is your pricing? Can you sell enough of these products to make a profit and pay yourself? What are your costs? What do your 3 closest competitors offer? How much do they charge? What are they good at? What are they bad at? How are you different? What is the personality of your brand? What are the key messages you want to send? What are your brand values? |
