3 ways you can attract more dream customers online (without spending money)

​Finding your dream customers online is easier than ever.

But where on earth are they? 

It seems like everyone else is bringing in all these new leads- but you are still struggling to find these mystical "dream customers". You are still waiting to "crack the code" in your own biz. 

Well, the secret is that instead of going out and finding them all the time, you can start attracting them! 

Below are 3 tips for finding and attracting more of your dream clients and customers online (without actually spending money). 

IMPORTANT NOTE: These are not tricks for finding customers and making money super fast. They are all based on value, service, and building a long-term sustainable business online! If you want to attract  ideal, high-paying customers, you have to put in some groundwork. 

How to find customers online tip #1- Design a lead magnet for your email list

​You can find ideal customers online by creating a lead magnet and increasing email sign ups. 

A lead magnet is a free resource that you give to people so that they join your email list. 

For example, my lead magnet is the Free Biz Road Map. I designed it especially for women who need a clear, simple path to building their online business. No frills, just the steps that I used to build my own six-figure biz.

Using this means that I am inviting the right type of people into my email list! I don’t need people that are looking for get-rich-quick ideas, and I don’t need people who don’t want to put in the work. All I get is the women who are committed to building their dream life within our supportive community! 

You need to design a resource that speaks directly to a problem that your ideal client is having. The idea is to give them a quick win! This way you are attracting warm leads that already know you can help them.

Once you have it, share it EVERYWHERE. On your
  • Facebook cover,
  • Instagram stories (and then save it in your highlights!),
  • Pinterest,
  • As a pop up on your website,
  • In your blog posts (widgets and linked to landing pages)

HOW TO FIND CUSTOMERS ONLINE TIP #2- Be active on Facebook Groups

​The She Owns It Community is one of the biggest online communities for female business owners in New Zealand. 

You can use it to attract more dream customers! 

Don't get me wrong- I'm not saying that you can just drop your links and dream clients will just come flooding in. 

The trick is to be ridiculously helpful. 

Whenever someone asks a question, shares a win, or needs help with something, be the person that helps them! Offer advice and support without asking for anything in return. 

If you are consistently active in Facebook groups like ours (and others that are perfect for your niche), then people will naturally value your opinion and want to hear more about what you do. 

HOW TO FIND CUSTOMERS ONLINE TIP #3- Put out free content

Let me paint you a picture. 

You have a friend. You like this friend, but they only ever message you when you need something. You dread seeing notifications from them because you know they are going to ask you to do something you don't want to do. 

This is the same with businesses that don't put out any kind of content. 

Your customers are all at different points in your funnel.

​Sure, some people will be happy to hand over their credit card details on the spot. 

But there is also a lot of people who are just getting to know you and wondering whether they should be purchasing your product or services. 

If you only ever send sales content, you are the friend that only shows up when they need something. Potential customers will get tired of that pretty quickly! 

Pick a core content pillar and start producing useful content that is relevant to your audience. I am using blog posts, but you might focus on social media, emails, videos or even podcasts.

This way, you are attracting the kind of people you want to serve, and they already know that you are the perfect business to help them!
